The Child Heir: Genesis 17:15-27 underlines a miracle of God, laughter, and faith. V. 17 "Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, 'Shall a child be born to a man who is 100 years old? And shall Sarah, who is 90 years old, bear a child." This writer was thinking how many of us would believe God if He promised us a child at such an old age?? Do we believe God at any age?
God had promised Abraham and Sarah they would have a child heir, Isaac! But remember they both doubted God and had Ishmael through Hagar. The account is truly underlining faith in God!!! This writer could expose them more, but the question of faith in God is for each one of us! How is your faith at your age right now? Do you trust God? Do you know that He will deliver His promises!
